Cooking for Healthy Living

Tasks Include:
Participants will prepare and cook fresh produce to make healthy snacks for three local youth and family support outlets and a primary school, within Brimbank. Participants will receive comprehensive OH&S induction & RSF training.

Tasks Include:
Participants will participate in work experience within a warehouse environment. This will include practicing a range of administration, and distribution tasks. Formal training associated with the warehousing industry will be delivered.
Carpentary Workshop
Venue: Western Region Community Tool Library – Braybrook Community Centre, Braybrook
Available Days: Tuesday & Wednesday

Participants will learn carpentry competencies on the activity; designing and cutting out wooden art templates for wall display and creative art classes for two disability programs; building and painting children's play items for child care centres.

A variety of produce will be prepared and cooked as healthy food items for the children at Glenorden Primary School. Participants will receive hands-on commercial kitchen work experience related to the hospitality industry and RSF training.

Tasks Include:
During this retail project, participants will develop professionally and personally, through quality supervision and training in: housekeeping, cleaning, customer service, rotation of stock, sorting donated goods and merchandising.
Outdoor Handiwork
Venue: Footscray Church of Christ, Footscray
Available Days: Thursday & Friday

Tasks Include:
The participants will renew the tired features of this '70's church building, by repairing and painting the internal walls, doors, windows and trims; steam cleaning the carpets and furnishings and sanding back and polishing a wooden parquetry floor.
